Obsession is for an audience of girls, teen-aged to early twenties. If you don’t fit in that category, don’t read it.
The story centers around the popular Meg who has the perfect boyfriend in her private high school. She lives with her flaky mother; shallow, unlovable step-father; and her spoiled half-sister.
Enter: stage left: the evil twin……
The perfect Meg has problems living in her house and also now, has a twin who tends to destroy her wonderful relationship with the boyfriend. Oh yes, the twin is from Jamaica and has the powers of voodoo. The twin had a hard life in Jamaica living with an unloving grandmother and is bitter about their separation since she sees Meg’s life as perfect with money. Oh, and there is a dark figure lurking around and you don’t know who he is or why he is lurking.
Obsession should only be bought with the partner book, Possession, since it doesn’t conclude. You’re left in the middle of what could be the climax and the book ends. Of course, the first chapter of Possession is printed in my mass market copy.
To a teenaged-girl, the book is probably wonderful
