What would you do if you found an egg and when it hatched, the baby was a tyrannosaurus rex? How do you hide it? What do you feed it? These are the delightful problems that Davy has in this enchanting book, Rex.

Davy's parents are archeologists that disappear in Africa. When their possessions are sent back to the family, Davy is given his mother's music box in which the egg is hidden. Davy is trying to keep all of New York City from being terrorized by his pet, which is difficult while being chased by an archeologist who wants the dinosaur for his own purposes, being to make money. The book is very fast-paced and constantly made me wonder how each situation was going to be resolved.

This is a lovingly fun book that everyone should read adult and child alike.
